David is a retired private equity investor.
Over the past 35 years David has been a
general partner in a series of discretionary
private equity funds with Hicks, Muse, Tate
& Furst and Olympus Partners where he has
served as the CEO and controlling general
partner. Combined equity under management
exceeded $50 billion.
During his active investments career David
served on a number of Boards of Directors
and senior management positions including:

Felix Vasquez / President & Chief Technology
Officer
Since March, 2002, Felix has managed the
company's strategy to tightly integrate
builders with their respective supply
chains, to insure three-way connectivity
between the on-site builder and
supplier/subcontractor and the builder's
back office functions.
As CTO, he oversees the critical functions
of product development/enhancement, product
management, infrastructure and quality
assurance. Prior to joining Hyphen, Felix
was Vice-President and Chief Information
Officer of D.R. Horton, Inc., one of the
largest and most geographically diverse
builders in the US. While at Horton, Felix
worked on extending CRM applications,
defining IT Strategy, Business Process
Optimization (including Supply Chain
Initiatives) and the launch of Builder
Homesite, a consortium of the largest US
builders.
Dale Smith / Chief Operating Office & Senior
Vice President of Services
Dale is responsible for running the
Professional Services department to
implement BuildPro and SupplyPro, managing
the Application Support department and
maintaining relationships with clients.
Prior to joining Hyphen, Dale developed the
implementation methodology and standards to
support property management software as
RealPage, Inc.’s Director of Implementation
and Training Services. His previous
experiences include: Director of Marketing
for The Realm where he created and
implemented a unified marketing and sales
strategy for five acquired and integrated
companies, and Consulting Senior Manager for
Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate
Group where he sold and managed large
consulting engagements to senior level
executives for financial institutions,
development companies, property managers,
and government agencies. Dale also gained
construction industry knowledge through his
positions with Rafael Architects, Inc. and
Quantum Group Architects and Engineers. Dale
holds both a Bachelors of Environmental
Design and an MBA from Texas A&M University.
Dan L. Lanier / Chief Financial Officer
Dan officially joined Hyphen Solutions in
2006 as the CFO but has been involved with
Hyphen since the inception as part of his
role at Olympus Real Estate.
While working with Olympus, Dan served
several roles including Vice President of
Portfolio Management and Controller. He was
responsible for the Controller duties for
Hicks, Muse, Tate and Furst for a period of
eight years. During that time he started
Real Estate Value Managers which performed
asset management and financial reporting for
Olympus and Hicks Muse. The managed
portfolio consisted of all types of Real
Estate from Hospitality to Residential lots
with a total of over 250 entities.
Prior to
his tenure with Olympus, he held several
roles from Senior Controller to Asset
Manager for Trammell Crow Residential for a
period of ten years. During his tenure at
Trammell Crow, he was instrumental in
establishing Gables Residential REIT, a
public offering of several of the Trammell
Crow divisions. Dan started his career in
banking as a “Work Out” officer for a Dallas
based bank before spending four years as a
Construction Manager and Controller for a
local Development company. The company
performed General Contracting and
Highway/Heavy Construction along with the
development of residential lots for sale.
Mr. Lanier has over 26 years of experience
in finance management. He has a BS in
Finance from the University of Texas at
Dallas and has completed 30 of the 36 hours
required to earn a Masters degree in
Accounting from UTD.
Bob Swainhart / Senior Vice President of
Sales and Marketing
Bob joined Hyphen Solutions seven years ago
and is now responsible for all BuildPro
sales, key client account management and
oversees all marketing, advertising and
public relations efforts.
Bob has been involved in every big builder
sale of the BuildPro product. Prior to
joining the Hyphen Solutions team, Bob was
the Director of Franchise Development for
Grow Biz International (now Winmark
Corporation). At Grow Biz, he was
responsible for the expansion of the
company’s franchise concepts and helped
launch two brand new franchise brands –
growing the company to approximately 1500
retail franchise locations. He has also had
sales and sales management positions within
other retail and finance organizations. Bob
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison
University in Granville, Ohio.
