This page allows the user to upload a master set of trade documents.
When a new project is set up, the master list of trade documents will
be available to the project manager. They may then modify the Trade Document
list for the specific project. At that time they may add trade documents
for that project. Trade documents added specifically for a project will
not be part of the "master file" for future projects but will
be included if a project is copied.
When the user first comes to this page, they will be given a list of
the trade documents that already exist in the master file of Trade Documents.
All trade documents must be assigned to at least one cost code. The list
of Trade Documents is sorted by Cost Code.
On the Master Trade Documents page, click the Upload New Documents button in the top
left of the page. The Upload pop-up window opens.
Click the Add Files
button. The Add File dialog box opens. Depending on your internet settings,
you may need to click this button twice. Once to activate the button and
again to open the Add File dialog box.
Locate the file you want to upload. Click on the file
to select it. You can add multiple files by holding down the Ctrl
button while selecting the files.
Click the Add
button on the dialog box. The file name for each file you selected appears
on the Upload pop-up window.
To remove a file from the Upload pop-up window, click
once on the File Name, and click
the Remove Files button. The file
name disappears from the pop-up window. You can remove multiple files
by holding down the Ctrl button
while selecting the files.
Click the Upload
button at the bottom of the pop-up window to upload all the files listed
in the pop-up window. When the upload is complete, you will see a pop-up
window that says, ”r;Transfer Completed.” The estimated time it will take
to upload all the files is listed above the Upload button.
Click OK on
the Transfer Completed pop-up window. The Upload Master Trade Documents
- Step 2 pop-up window opens, listing all of the files that were uploaded.
For each file, enter a Description/Name
and Version Number, which will
appear on the Master Trade Documents page.
Click the Update and
Close button to complete the upload. The newly uploaded documents
will appear on the Master Trade Documents page.
Cost Code -
The cost code the trade document is associated with
Description Name
- The Description Name is the name of that will be displayed to bid manager
and bidders on the Trade Document lists for projects in both BuildPro
and SupplyPro. Clicking on the Description Name will allow the user to
view the document.
Version - shows
the version of the trade document
File Size -
is the size of the document in kilobytes (KB)
File Type -
The type of the trade document. Valid file types include:
doc - MS
Word Document version 97 - 2003 files
docx - MS
Word Document version 2007 files
xls - MS
Excel spreadsheet version 97 - 2003 files
xlsx - MS
Excel spreadsheet version 2007 files
jpg - JPEG
image file
gif - GIF
image file
- tif - TIFF image file
pdf - Portable
Document Format files
Edit - Clicking
on the Edit link opens a popup window for the user to edit the information
about the trade document (see the Actions section)
Replace - Clicking
on the Replace link opens a popup window for the user to replace the current
version of the trade document (see the Actions section)
History - Clicking
on the History link opens a popup window for the user to view the history
of the trade document (see the Actions section)
Remove - Placing
a check mark in the check box in this column and then clicking on the
Update button will remove the document from the master list.
