Master Mgmt - Take-Off Areas
This page allows the builder to manage the Take-off Areas that are available to a bidder when they are using the Take-off tool. It will facilitate creating a master list of Take-off Areas. Take-off areas are not project specific. They are items used by bidders in the take-off tool. As they measure areas or count items on a drawing, a grid is built on the bottom of the page. See the Take-off Tool page for further explanation of how take-off items are used by bidders.
The page has two sections. The first section of the page will show the Take-Off Areas that already exist in the "master file". The second section of the page provides an area to input new take-off areas.
To manage take-off areas:
Click the BidConnect tab. The Projects page opens, showing the Master Mgmt links on the Left Nav Bar.
Click the Take-Off Areas link on the Left Nav Bar under Master Mgmt. The Take-Off Areas page opens.
To delete a take-off area, click the Delete icon next to each take-off area you want to delete. There is no way to automatically undo this action or cancel this action once you have clicked on the Delete icon.
To add a take-off area, enter items in the Add Take-Off Areas box at the bottom of the page.
Click the Add Take-Off Areas button. The new take-off area appears in the master list of Take-Off Areas.
Take-Off Area Columns
Take-Off Areas - The name/description of the take-off areas as it will appear on the list of take-off areas in the grid on the take-off tool. See the Take-off Tool page for further explanation of how take-off areas are used by bidders.
Delete - Clicking on the X in the delete column will delete the take-off areas from the "master list" of take-off areas.
