Project Budgets are entered at the cost code / plan & elevation level for a bidding project. They are initially entered via an Excel spreadsheet or the budgets may be entered manually. Users may then edit the budget data via the Update Budgets page. Project budget data may be entered with wild cards so that if a single value for a cost code is good for all plans and or all plan/elevations, it can be entered once instead of for each entity but it will be stored as individual values.

Filters

• Status – This filter is a drop down list of project statuses.

• Project – This filter is a drop down list of the projects that contain the status selected in the Status filter.

• Bid Group – This filter is a drop down list of the “mapped” bid groups for the project (All Bid Groups is the default).

Buttons/Actions

• Print Budgets - Clicking on the Print Budgets button will open a popup window for printing the budget information for the project.

• Update Budgets - Clicking on the Update Budgets button will update the budget amounts for the project.

• If a budget entry box is left blank, it will be filled with a 0.

• The budget data entry boxes may contain any number value including 0.

Columns

• Bid Group / Cost Code(s) – The bid group is shown in bold text and the cost code(s) are listed under the bid group they have been mapped to.

• If a bid group has been designated as a non-bid bid group, an icon will be displayed next to the bid group name (description).

• Budget

• Plan – If the plan has been “wild carded” so that the bid group & cost code applies to all plans an * will be displayed in the Plan column.

• Clicking on the icon will expand the view to show all of the plans for the cost code (see Expanded Views below).

• Sq. Ft. – The Square Feet for the plan & elevation

• Amount – Text box to enter/edit the budget amount for the plan / elevation.

Expanded Views

• Expanded for Plans - This view shows the project budgets expanded to show the plans for a cost code.

• Clicking on the under the Elevation column will expand the view to show the budget amount for each elevation for the plan.

• Clicking on the in the Plan column will collapse the view to hide the plans.

• Expanded for Elevations - This view shows the project budgets expanded to show the elevations for each plan for the cost code.

• Clicking on the in the Elevation column will collapse the view to hide the elevations.
