Project Mgmt - Trade Documents

This same page appears when you create a new project or when you edit the project. To move through the New Project Wizard, click on the <Previous or Next> buttons. To access other project pages, click on a link on the Left Nav Bar under Project Mgmt.

 

This page provides the ability to manage trade documents for a project. Users may get to this page by. Clicking on the Project Trade Documents link in the left navigation area under the Project Mgmt section. Clicking on the Project Trade Documents link in the Project Components section of the Project Detail page for the selected project.

 

To manage Project Trade Documents:

  1. On the Projects page, click a Project Name link. The Project Detail for that project opens, and the Project Mgmt links appear on the Left Nav Bar.

  2. Click the Trade Documents link on the Left Nav Bar under Project Mgmt. The Project Trade Documents page opens for the chosen project.

  3. To include trade documents in the list of project trade documents, click the Include check box next to each trade document you want to include that is under the Excluded Trade Documents section.

  4. Click the Include All button at the top of the page to immediately move all Excluded Trade Documents into the Included Trade Documents. There is no way to automatically undo this action.

  5. To exclude trade documents, click the Exclude check box next to each trade document you want to exclude that is under the Included Trade Documents section.

  6. Click the Exclude All button at the top of the page to immediately move all Included Trade Documents into the Excluded Trade Documents. There is no way to automatically undo this action.

  7. Click the Update button in the top right of the page.

  8. To mark the Project Trade Documents section as Complete, click the Complete? check box in the top right of the page.

  9. Click the Update button. This sets the status of the trade documents in the Project Components section of the Project Detail page to Complete.

 

To upload Trade Documents:

  1. On the Project Trade Documents page, click the Upload New Documents button in the top left of the page. The Upload pop-up window opens.

This button only appears if the project has a status of ”In Setup” or ”Pending.”

  1. Click the Add Files button. The Add File dialog box opens. Depending on your internet settings, you may need to click this button twice. Once to activate the button and again to open the Add File dialog box.

  2. Locate the file you want to upload. Click on the file to select it. You can add multiple files by holding down the Ctrl button while selecting the files.

  3. Click the Add button on the dialog box. The file name for each file you selected appears on the Upload pop-up window.

  4. To remove a file from the Upload pop-up window, click once on the File Name, and click the Remove Files button. The file name disappears from the pop-up window. You can remove multiple files by holding down the Ctrl button while selecting the files.

  5. Click the Upload button at the bottom of the pop-up window to upload all the files listed in the pop-up window. When the upload is complete, you will see a pop-up window that says, ”Transfer Completed.” The estimated time it will take to upload all the files is listed above the Upload button.

  6. Click OK on the Transfer Completed pop-up window. The Upload Project Trade Documents - Step 2 pop-up window opens, listing all of the files that were uploaded.

  7. For each file, enter a Description/Name and Version Number, which will appear on the Project Trade Documents page.

  8. Click the Project Specific? check box to uncheck the box and add this trade document to the Master Project list. Or, leave the check mark to mark this trade document as project specific.

  9. Click the Update and Close button to complete the upload. The newly uploaded documents will appear on the Project Trade Documents page under the Included Trade Documents.
