Add Defect/Defect Detail
This page is the Add Defects page when you are entering a new defect. Once you enter the defect, you view and edit it. The page then becomes the Defect Detail.

Defect Detail
On the Add Defect page, you can enter new defects one at a time. You must fill out the Defect Details form in order from top to bottom. The drop-down lists are dependent on the previous list.
For example, you must choose a Category before you choose a Description, because descriptions are organized by category. When you add a new defect, the Save Values check box next to each item defaults to checked. A checkmark in this check box means that when you click the Save and New button, those values will be entered automatically for the new defect.
When you click the Save Defect button or the Save and New button, it saves the defect. For critical and structural defects, clicking the Save button also sends out a defect notification to the assigned supplier. Defect notifications for standard defects are sent to the supplier in a nightly batch process.
To add a defect to a room:
On the Room List page, click the Add Defect link to the room to which you want to add a defect. The Add Defect page opens.
Fill out the Defect Details form by choosing from each drop-down list. As you choose an item from each list, the next list is populated with choices.
