Add Task - Direct

The Add Task Direct page lets you to quickly add a task in a single step.

 

To add a task:

  1. Change the Task Name field to reflect the name of the new task.

  2. In the Description field, type a brief description of the new task.

  3. Click the Task Type field and make the appropriate selection.

  4. Click the Account Code field and make the appropriate selection for this task.

  5. Click the Supplier field and choose the appropriate supplier for this task.

  6. Click the Supplier Industry field and choose the industry that your supplier for this task is in.

  7. In the Budget Amount field, type the dollar amount budgeted for this task.

  8. Check the Milestone Task box if you are integrating your schedule with another system that uses milestones and want this task to be considered as a milestone.

  9. In the Milestone Key field, type the task number to which this milestone task corresponds, if you are integrating your schedule with another system that uses milestones.

  10. Click the Stage field and make the appropriate selection.

  11. In the Lead Time field, type the number of workdays required by a supplier or contractor to schedule delivery for this task.

  12. In the Duration field, type the number of days required to complete the task.

  13. Change the Sequence field, if needed, to show the order you want this task shown on the schedule.

  14. In the Offset field, type the number of days to start a task earlier or later than it normally would according to its rank.

  15. Add any relevant instructions to the supplier in the Supplier Instructions field.

  16. Click the Add New Task button. The Job Task page appears.
