Release Management

The Release Management page is where you take action on tasks for a subdivision based on the previously set task category. Task Categories are maintained from the Manager tab.

The Group Managed view lets you select a task. Updates still take place from the Job Task page. The Selectively Managed view lets you change the Start Date, Duration, Lead Time, mark a task as Started or Complete. Click here for a full explanation of the effects of changing the schedule.

 

To use Release Management:

  1. Click the Subdivision/Phase field and choose the appropriate subdivision.

  2. Click the Task Category Group field and choose a task category group defaults to the first task category group.

  3. Click the Task Category field and select the appropriate task category. This field shows task categories from the selected task category group.

  4. If needed, change the value in the Max Rows field.

  5. Click the Show Tasks button.

  6. From the Group Managed view, in the Select column, check the task you want to change.

  7. From the Selectively Managed view, make the necessary changes and click Update Tasks.
