Template Management
Multi-Family Project Detail
The Multi-Family Project Detail page displays information regarding the Project. You may notice that some information cannot be changed. This is because certain dependencies are present.
The Project hierarchy is as follows:
Division
Account Set
Community
Templates (predecessor relationships between templates must be removed before a template can be removed from the Project)
Jobs (templates may not be removed from a Project once jobs have been created from it; jobs must be deleted)
Before any one of these may be changed, all the dependencies below it must be removed.
Some other business rules apply to Projects:
Templates may not be added to a Project that belong to another Project. Copy the template, then add it to the other Project.
Non multi-family templates that have jobs created from them may not be added to a Project. Copy the template, then add it to the Project.
Templates that point to a different Account Set than the Project may not be added to the Project. If you change the Account Set of a template, be sure to re-map the cost codes to the tasks.
Stage/Rank type templates may not be added to a Project.
Templates with a status of Closed may not be added to a Project.
Task Category Groups are created at the company level. Be sure to select the correct Task Category Group when creating a Project. All Templates assigned to a Project will be changed to use the Task Category Group the Project uses.
If you add a Template to a Project that was pointing to a different Task Category Group you will have to re-map the Task Categories for that Template.
The Project Name or Project Start Date may be changed at any time.
To change the Status of the Project, select Active or Closed from the Status drop down and click the Update Project button.
