The Auto Start and Auto Complete function lets you select the settings at the task level for each template. The filter lets you select one or all stages. These settings copy down to jobs created from the template. The auto-start and auto-complete function carry over to tasks that have a TBD vendor, but will not be auto-started unless the vendor is selected prior to encountering the lead date.
The normal Auto Start functionality only starts a task if the lead date is today. A task with a lead date in the past must be manually started by the user.
However, if the module ”Auto Start Tasks with Historical Lead Dates" is turned on, the Auto Start process will start all Scheduled tasks with a lead date of today or earlier. Tasks that are auto started will have the adjusted start date set to tomorrow’s date. Tasks will not be back dated.
To set tasks to auto start and auto complete:
In the Auto Start column, either click the Select All button, or click individual check boxes to mark tasks to be auto started.
In the Auto Complete column, either click the Select All button, or click individual check boxes to mark tasks to be auto completed.
Click Update Template.
