Home Summary by Task

The Home Summary by Task report is used to view completion dates for key tasks on homes under construction. The report shows the current status of the home based on the week ending date and the prior week ending date.

This report also  uses an optional field, Job State, that is setup in the template state management section. The Job State is used to identify the number of houses that are in Rough or Trim job state.

 

To generate this report:

  1. Click the Account Set field and choose up to 8 cost codes to create this report.

The system will take a few seconds to generate the list of cost codes.

 

  1. In the Select column, click the check box next to the appropriate Cost Code ID that you want included on your report.

  2. Click Proceed to Next Step.

  3. To complete other filters for this report, click the Org field and choose the appropriate organization to be listed on this report.

  4. Click the Super field and choose the correct superintendent name for this report.

  5. Click the Subdiv/Phase field and click as many of the subdivision or phase names that you want on the report. Multiple selections can be made by holding the 'Ctrl' button on the keyboard and clicking selections in the Subdiv/Phase box.

  6. Click the Job Status field and make the appropriate selection.

  7. Complete Actual Start Date From and Actual Start Date To fields with the date range that you want to see on the report.

  8. Click Report.

Result: The report is sorted by Production Homes by Org, then by sub\phase with the super name in the left column. There is a Total by Super by Sub/Phase and then a Total for the Subdivision. There is also a total for Total Production Homes in Rough and Total Production Homes in Trim and a Total Production Homes.

In the Prior Week Ending and the Current Week Ending date fields, the system uses Friday's date and it shows the last completed stage for the prior week and the current week.

 

Where does that come from?

Below is a list of information in the Home Summary By Task Report and where the information comes from.

Report Filters

Org -  List of orgs and subdivisions. Use this filter to narrow the report by one or all organizations.

Super - Lists all of the job primaries for the selected org. Use this filter to show jobs for one or all job primaries.

Subdiv/Phase - List of all subdivisions/orgs for the selected org. Use this filter to show jobs in a one or more subdivision/phases. This is a multi-select combo box. Hold the Ctrl button on the keyboard while clicking the subdivisions to view on the report.

Job Status - Allows the user to filter the report by job status.

Actual Start Date From - Date from the actual start date of any task in the job schedule.

Actual Start Date To - Date to the actual start date of any task in the job schedule.

Report Columns

Date Created - The date and time the report was generated.

Org Name and Address - The name and address of the org. This information changes for each org that is displayed.

Production Homes or Model Homes - Production Homes are homes that do not have the house type set to Model. Model Homes are homes that have the house type set to model. The house type can be found on the job detail page.

Subdivision/Phase - The name of the subdivision followed by the phase name.

Super Name - The first column on the report. This is the job primary of the job. This can be found on the job detail screen.

Lot - The lot number of the job. This can be found on the job detail screen.

Plan - This is the builders plan for the job. This can be found on the job detail screen.

Actual Start Date - The earliest actual start date of any in progress or complete task in the job schedule. This will be left blank if no tasks meet this criteria.

Cost Codes - Cost codes selected from the second step in generating the report. This column shows the Adjusted End Date of the task if the task is complete. If not complete, then blank.

Prior Week Ending - Last stage that has all milestone tasks complete for the previous week.

Current Week Ending - Last stage that has all milestone tasks complete for the current week.

Delays - Total number of Pause/Hold days for the job.

Promised End Date - The promised End Date of the job. This can be found on the job detail screen.

Job State - This field counts the number of jobs that are in each job state. Job States are set for each stage and can be turned on by using a special module. The count of jobs in a job state is determined by looking for the earliest Adjusted Start Date for a milestone task that is 'In Progress' or 'Scheduled', to determine job state of that stage. NONE is chosen if no milestone tasks meet this criteria.
