Job Starts by Trade - Summary

This report pulls and aggregates the total number of labor starts and completes by using those specific milestones.  The aggregated data will be summarized into a month-to-date, quarter-to-date and year-to-date view.

 

To generate the report:

  1. Click the multi-select button next to the Region. From the multi-select pop-up window, choose one or more regions to report on. For region and division users, it lists only the region to which the user is assigned.

  2. Choose a Division/Market from the drop-down list. Defaults to All Divisions/Markets.

  3. Click the multi-select button next to the Job Status. From the multi-select pop-up window, choose one or more statuses to report on. Defaults to Active and Complete.

  4. Click the multi-select button next to the Trade. From the multi-select pop-up window, choose one or more trades to report on. Defaults to All Trades.

  5. Click the Generate Report button.

     

Where does that come from?

Below is a list of information in the Job Starts by Trade - Summary report and where the information comes from.

Report Filters

Region - Multi-select filter. For corporate users, lists all regions. For region and division users, lists only the region to which the user is assigned. Required filter.

Division/Market - Once a region is selected, this filter populates with the divisions/markets in the selected Region(s).

Job Status - Filter the jobs by status. Defaults to Active and Closed.

Trade - Contain a list of task categories based on the jobs found in the Division(s) selected.

Report Columns

Division/Market - Lists the Division/Market name selected from the filter. This is the primary sort of the report, sorted by the organization name in ascending order.

Trade - Lists the Trade (task category) selected from the filter. All Divisions should utilize the same task categories, however not all will utilize every single one that is available. For example, Market A may use all 7 available task categories, but Market B may only use 1 of the 7. This is the secondary sort of the report, sorted by category name in ascending order.

Month To Date -

- IF more than one JBST is found for a task category, the report uses the earliest adjusted start date.

- IF more than one JBFN is found for a task category, the report uses the latest adjusted start date.

- IF no JBST or JBFN is found for a task category, the report does not include a Start, In Progress, or Complete.

Quarter to Date -

- IF more than one JBST is found for a task category, the report uses the earliest adjusted start date.

- IF more than one JBFN is found for a task category, the report uses the latest adjusted start date.

- IF no JBST or JBFN is found for a task category, the report does not include a Start or Complete.

Year to Date -

- IF more than one JBST is found for a task category, the report uses the earliest adjusted start date.

- IF more than one JBFN is found for a task category, the report uses the latest adjusted start date.

- IF no JBST or JBFN is found for a task category, the report does not include a Start or Complete.

Report Totals

Total by Trade - Displays the sum of the Starts, In Progress, and Completes for the trades, grouped by division.

Overall Total by Trade - Displays the sum of the overall Trade totals. The Overall Total includes all starts from selected organizations and trades.  When multiple trades work on a single job – this report counts all the trades.  It should not be misunderstood to represent SelectBuild starts, where multiple trades on a job are counted as a single start.

Total by Job - Displays the total number of jobs that span the starts and completes for the specific Division/Market. Displays only the starts and completes. Does not display the in progress jobs.

Overall Total by Job - Displays the total number of jobs for all Division/Markets on the report.
