Report Builder & Subscriptions Roles
Report Builder is an ad-hoc reporting tool that allows users to create and run reports using their own BuildPro database. Users can create reports, run reports, and save reports on the Report Server or on their own computers. The Report Subscriptions tool allows users set up subscriptions for all existing BuildPro reports. BuildPro automatically runs the report on a given schedule and emails the report to the addresses provided.
Companies must pay an extra cost to turn on the Report Builder and Subscriptions tools in BuildPro. To turn on these tools, please contact Hyphen Customer Care.
Module:
ReportConnect Advanced Reporting - Turns on Report Builder and Report Subscriptions, but only users with the Advanced Reporting roles will see the links.
Roles:
Advanced Reporting &endash; Report Builder User - When the ReportConnect Advanced Reporting module is turned on, users with this role can see the Report Builder link on the ReportConnect tab.
Advanced Reporting &endash; Report Subscriptions User - When the ReportConnect Advanced Reporting module is turned on, users with this role can see the Report Subscriptions link on the ReportConnect tab.
To view the link for Report Builder on the ReportConnect tab:
Make sure the ”ReportConnect Advanced Reporting” module is turned on for the company.
Assign the user the BuildPro standard role ”Report Builder User.” Or, call Customer Care to assign this role function to a custom role.
