Centralized Scheduling

The Centralized Scheduling functionality allows users to create groups within a Division. Communities may then be assigned to a group. All Jobs in the Community will belong to the group.

Then, from the Manage Centralized Scheduling Jobs page you may assign a Start Sequence to each Job and modify the Start Dates of key milestone tasks.

Setup Centralized Scheduling

  1. Click the Create Groups for Centralized Scheduling link and create CS Groups for your Division.

  2. Click the Assign Communities to Centralized Scheduling Groups link and assign Communities to the Group(s) you created in step one.

  3. Use the Manage Centralized Scheduling Jobs page to give each Job a Start Sequence. After a Start Sequence has been assigned to each Job, modify the Start Date for the Milestone Key task within each Job.

 

Use a Milestone Key that aligns with the tasks that you wish to stagger. The idea behind Centralized Scheduling is to stagger these tasks in the order the Job is to be built. Once the dates are staggered, the construction manager may begin managing the schedule.
