The Update Product Prices page allows you to set parameters to systematically
update product prices on a pricesheet. You can choose to update prices
for the following:
As an alternative price maintenance option, you can also update individual
prices on multiple pricesheets from the Product Detail page.
From the Catalog
tab, select Update Product Prices.
In the Product
Search Criteria section, choose the pricesheet to update from the
Pricesheet list.
-
From the Department list, choose the department where the items
needing price updates are located.
Using department
criteria is optional, but recommended, especially if you do not plan to
use the SKU or Description criteria.
-
If you do not select a department, type values in
the SKU or Description
fields to narrow the product search.
For the SKU
and Description fields, if you
enter a partial value the system searches for like values. For example,
if your inventory includes outdoor garden supplies and you type basket in the Description field, the system returns
all variants, including items such as wastebaskets and woodbaskets, along
with hanging or storage baskets.
In the Max
Rows field, enter the maximum number of items for the search process
to return.
-
Click the Select
Products button.
Once the search is complete, the system presents
a list of products for your review on the Pricesheet
Update - Search Results page.
From the Pricesheet
Update - Search Results page, edit the item price for any products
that need to be updated.
To access the Pricesheet Detail
page, click the Pricesheet link
at the top of the page.
To view additional product
information, click on the item description in the Name
column to access the Product Detail page.
-
In the Effective
Date field at the bottom of the page, type the effective date for
all edited item price changes. The effective date has to be a future date;
it cannot be the current date or today's date.
You can also use on-line calendars to specify the
date range. Click the calendar icon to view an auxiliary calendar window
in your upper right screen corner. Click the calendar's forward and back
buttons to access previous or future months. Select the day desired to
automatically fill in the date field. Today's date cannot be the effective
date.
Click the Update
Prices button.
You are also able to update all prices on a single pricesheet simultaneously.
This method allows you to use the prices on an existing pricesheet as
the base for applying price changes to another pricesheet.
From the Catalog
tab, select Update Product Prices.
In the Global
Pricesheet Update section, choose a pricesheet from the Pricesheet
to Update list.
Choose the pricesheet that
contains the prices that you will use as the base prices from the From Pricesheet list.
-
Select either Plus
or Minus to establish the Difference Type.
If the new prices will be higher than the old pricesheet,
select the Plus option. If the
new prices will be lower than the original pricesheet, select the Minus option.
-
In the Percent
Different field, type the percentage by which you want to either
lower or increase the new prices compared to those currently in the pricesheet
chosen in the From Pricesheet list.
Since you must enter a percent, type 0 if you wish
to simply copy the pricesheet.
-
In the Effective
Date field, type the
effective date of the new price. The effective date has to be a future
date; it cannot be the current date or today's date.
You can also use on-line calendars to specify the
date range. Click the calendar icon to view an auxiliary calendar window
in your upper right screen corner. Click the calendar's forward and back
buttons to access previous or future months. Select the desired
day to automatically fill in the date field. Today's date cannot be the
effective date.
Click the Update
Pricesheet button.
