Add a New Job

The Add a New Job page lets you setup a new job. The page is organized into four different sections: Job Detail Information, Job Location, Legal Information and Lot Ownership information.

Reminder:  If any of the fields mentioned in the steps below do not appear on your screen, that means that your organization is not using that feature of BuildPro. For any questions about this feature, contact your BuildPro administrator.

You can click Field Descriptions Table at any time to see detailed descriptions for each field on the Add a New Job page.

 

To add a new job:

  1. In the Job Detail Information section, type the name you want assigned to this job in the Job Name field.

  2. Click the picture of the calculator. The End Date calculator window appears.

  1. From the End Date Calculator window, type the appropriate Start Date.

  2. From the End Date Calculator window, click the Template field and choose the desired template.

  3. Click the checkbox next to Saturday Workday and Sunday Workday if you want Saturday and Sunday to be considered as workdays when calculating the end date.

  4. Click the Calculate Promised End Date button. The End Date appears in the Results box located under the Calculate Promised End Date button.

  1. Write down the Start Date and End Date information that you typed in the End Date Calculator so you can add it to the Job Detail Information.

The information from the End Date Calculator does not populate fields within the Job Detail Information section.

 

  1. Click the Close Window link.

  2. In the Start Date and End Date fields, type the dates you used in the End Date Calculator.

  3. Click the Template field, and select the desired template.

Make sure you choose the same template that you used in the End Date Calculator. If not, you should recalculate your end date.

 

  1. Complete the remaining fields in the Job Detail Information section, referring to the Field Descriptions Table for more information.

  1. Complete the Job Location section, referring to the Field Descriptions Table for more information.

  2. Complete the Legal Information section, referring to the Field Descriptions Table for more information.

  3. Complete the Lot Ownership section, referring to the Field Descriptions Table for more information.

  4. Click the Add Job button.
