Task Update: Task Category

You use the Task Update: Task Category page to assign task categories to tasks. Task Categories are a way of grouping like tasks by category and they are created from the Manager tab. After task categories are created, you assign the categories to tasks and then use them in Release Management.

 

To assign a task category:

  1. Select the appropriate stage.

  2. Click the Task Category field for the desired task.

  3. Choose the desired task category.

  4. Click the Update Job button.

Tasks without a drop-down menu in the Task Category column indicate that the task category assigned to this task cannot be changed. This applies to tasks that are In Progress or Completed.
