The Batch Rescheduling page lets you adjust the schedule across multiple
Jobs. You can choose to reschedule all Jobs in a subdivision, or just
one Job. This page shows you the Baseline End Date,
Scheduled
End Date,
and Days
Ahead or Behind.
Using the Batch Reschedule Page
Use the filters to find
the Job(s) you want to reschedule. Then, click the Show Jobs button. Note
at this point you do not have to enter the Days
to Reschedule or choose rescheduling options.
A list of Jobs will
be displayed; grouped by Community.
Select the check box
beside each Job you wish to reschedule. Use the Select
All button to choose all Jobs.
Enter the number of
days you wish to reschedule each In Progress task (in each Job) in the
Days To Reschedule text box.
Choose a Schedule
Change Reason and click the Update
Jobs button.
How Tasks are Rescheduled
Batch Rescheduling works by moving only In Progress tasks by the number
of work days entered in the Days To Reschedule
text box. Work Days are determined by the Sat/Sun indicators from the
Job Detail page. Tasks
that are In Progress have either passed the start date (and BuildPro assumes
the Supplier/Trade is on the job site) or have not reached the start date
(the Supplier/Trade has not started the work).
In
Progress Tasks That Have Reached the Start Date - Example:
Today is Tuesday the 2nd and the Framing task started on Monday (2/1)
and ends on Friday (2/5).
In Progress Tasks where the start date is in the past will have the
duration increased by the number of days entered in the Days To Reschedule
text box. In this example, if you had entered 2, the Framing task duration
would be increased from 5 days to 7 days. No rescheduled notification
would be sent; only an increase in duration.
In Progress Tasks That
Have Not Reached the Start Date - Example: Today is Monday the
1st and the Framing task starts on Tuesday (2/2)
and ends on Monday (2/8) (assuming the job does not schedule Sat/Sun).
In Progress Tasks where the start date is in the future will be rescheduled
by the number of days entered in the Days To Reschedule text box. In this
example, if you had entered 2, the Framing task start date would be moved
to Thursday (2/4) and a reschedule notice sent to the Supplier/Trade.
When Batch Rescheduling tasks, the start date could be today. If this
occurs you have two options:
Extend
Duration - this is the default choice in the If
Start Date is Today filter. Choose this to extend the duration
for tasks where the start date is today (by the number of days entered
in the Days To Reschedule text box).
Reschedule -
choose this option if you want to reschedule tasks where the start date
is today (by the number of days entered in the Days To Reschedule text
box).
Choosing Reschedule Options for Hard Coded Scheduled Tasks
Batch Rescheduling only moves In Progress Tasks. By doing this, tasks
in Scheduled status will be pushed out as long as they are not “hard coded.”
A task becomes “hard coded” when you manually move it to a specific date
(the BuildPro schedule engine has not created the start date).
Use the options in the Reschedule and:
filter to choose how BuildPro should deal with “hard coded” Scheduled
tasks.
Leave
Hard Coded Dates on Scheduled Tasks - this
option will leave the tasks “hard coded” to their date and child tasks
that follow “hard coded” tasks will not be pushed out.
Remove Hard Coded Dates
on Scheduled Tasks - this option will remove the “hard coded” dates
from all Scheduled tasks, allowing them to “float” with the Job schedule
and will be pushed out based on the movement of In Progress Tasks.
Move Hard Coded Scheduled
Tasks by Days to Reschedule - this option will leave the “hard
coded” flag, but push out “hard coded” Scheduled tasks by the number of
days entered in the Days to Reschedule text box.
