Job Closings by Month Trend - Ryland

This report shows the number of job closings by month, grouped by region, division, and community. Users must have the Region and Division flags set for their orgs in order for this report to work properly. JBFN milestones must be set up in jobs for this report to work properly. A user may only job closing information for the org the user belongs to and down.

 

To generate the report:

  1. Choose a Region from the drop-down list. The Division filter displays all divisions in that region.

  2. Choose a Division from the drop-down list. The Community filter displays all communities in that division.

  3. Choose a Community from the drop-down list.

  4. Choose the Job Status you want to view on the report.

  5. Choose which Month the report should start reporting on from the drop-down list. The reports shows a total of 13 months, starting with the month you choose.

  6. Choose the Year on which you want to report.

  7. Choose what you want to report on from the Report by drop-down list (78005 Milestone, Promised End Date, or Last Task).

  8. Click the Generate Report button. The Job Closings by Month Trend report opens.

  9. Click a hyperlinked number to open the Job Closings by Month Trend - Detail.

 

Where does that come from?

Below is a list of information in the Job Closings by Month Trend report and where the information comes from.

Report Filters

Region - Contains a list of all regions. Only users at the company level will be able to run the report for all regions. For users assigned at a division level, the report pre-populates the region so the user does not have to select the region.

Division - Contains a list of all divisions. If the user is assigned at a division-level org, the report pre-populates the division and region. If a region is selected, the Division filter will only include divisions under that region. If all regions are selected, the user will need to select a division or all divisions. Defaults to All Divisions.

Community - Contains a list of all communities based on the Region and Division filters selected. The user may select an individual community or all communities. Defaults to All Communities.

Job Status - Contains a list of all job statuses. This multi-select filter allows the user to filter the jobs by job status. Defaults to Active.

House Type - Multi-select filter that allows the user to filter by house type: Not Closed (includes all types except Closed), Cancelled, Closed, Model, Pending, Sold, Spec, or Transferred.

Month - Allows the user to select the starting month for generating the report. The report will begin with the month selected and show the number of jobs closing for the next 12 months (13 months total). On the report, brackets appear around the month selected.

Year - Contains three options: Prior Year, Current Year, and Next Year. Allows the user to select the year for the month selected. Defaults to the Current Year.

Report by - Contains three options: 78005 Milestone, Promised End Date, and Last Task. Allows users to select how jobs are chosen for the report. Depending on the selection, the report will bring back jobs where the 78005 Milestone, Promised End Date, or Last Task is in the corresponding month on the report.

Report Columns

Region - Displays the regions selected in the report. Regions are sorted alphabetically.

Division - Displays the divisions for each region selected on the report. Divisions are sorted alphabetically within each region.

Community - Lists all active communities (subdivisions) for each region and division selected in the report. The communities are sorted alphabetically within each division.

Total Homes - Displays the total number of homes (jobs) within each community that have a task with the '78005 Milestone If at least one job is found without the required milestone key, the report displays an asterisk* after the Total Homes number. If no jobs are found for that month, the cell is left blank.

Compl/Not Closed - Displays the number of complete/not closed homes regardless of the house type or job status selected in the filters. Complete/not closed jobs are those with a status of Complete and a house type that is something other than Closed. This column shows all complete/not closed jobs, regardless of the year selected in the Year filter. Click on the hyperlinked number to open the drill-down report, filtered by jobs in this column.

Number of Jobs Closing - This section spans 13 columns. The 13 columns display months starting with the month and year selected in the report. Each month column displays the number of jobs by community where the Report by selection is in that month.

Division (Subtotal) - Displays the total of all job closings for each community within the division for each month.

Region (Subtotal) - Displays the sum of all job closings for each division within the region.

Report Total - Displays the sum of the number of jobs for all regions for each month column.
