Use the Job Management Express page to quickly update start dates, adjust
task durations, mark tasks complete, skip tasks or submit PO’s for multiple
tasks at once.
There are four tabs available through Job Management Express: Schedule,
Reschedule, Detail and Re-Calc End Date. Each
tab is explained below and the functions available are on each. Click
here for a full explanation of the effects of changing the schedule.
Schedule tab:
This shows all tasks within a selected stage. From this tab you can start,
complete, change the duration, start date, or percent complete of a task.

Detail tab: This tab shows each task name, rank, sequence,
lead time, duration, offset and skip. For predecessor schedules, the predecessor
ID is shown. Click one of the function names to see detailed steps.

Re-Calc End Date:
This tab shows lets you do possible "what if" scenarios
to facilitate schedule acceleration. From this page, you can change the
start date and the duration of tasks that are Scheduled
or In Progress. If you
change theses fields and click Preview
Re-Calc, you see another page with the results of your schedule
changes. No changes are made to the actual schedule until you click the
Commit button. The column called
Lock This Date allows the user to hard code that task to the specific
date so that it will not move regardless of other changes in the schedule.

Printable link to have a copy of the Schedule tab that you can
send to your printer. |
To filter
displayed job information:
Click the Job
Name field and select a different job.
Click the Stage
field and select a specific stage. The default is "All Stages.
Click the Status
field and select the appropriate status for the tasks you want to view.
Click the Task
Type field and choose the desired task type.
Click the Show
Tasks button.
To update task information:
Click the Task link
and make the necessary updates or submit any orders from the Job
Task page.

If you click the link in
the Supplier Name column,
the Supplier Detail page
opens in a secondary window. |
If any checklist item
appears under a task, click the Passed
or Failed option as appropriate.
Click the Update Job button either at the
top of the page, or at the bottom.
To change a start date:
If a white box appears
in the Start Date column, you
can change the date if necessary, using MM/DD/YYYY
as the format.
If needed, click the Schedule Change Reason field and select
the appropriate reason for this schedule change.
If needed, click the
Schedule Change Supplier field
and make the appropriate selection.
Add any relevant notes
in the Schedule Change Explanation
field.
Click the Update
Job button either at the top of the page, or at the bottom.
To
change task duration:
From the appropriate
box in the Duration column, change
the number of workdays required to complete the associated task.
Click the Schedule
Change Reason field and choose the appropriate reason for making
this change.
In the
Schedule Change Explanation text box, type a brief explanation
for making this change.
Click the Update
Job button.
To start a task:
If needed, in the Start Date column, type the appropriate
start date for this task.
In the Start
column, click the associated box to start the task.

If there is an "X"
already in this column, it means the task has already begun. |
Click the Schedule
Change Reason field and choose the appropriate reason for making
this change.
In the Schedule
Change Explanation text box, type a brief explanation for making
this change.
Click the Update
Job button either at the top of the page, or at the bottom.
If the start date is
in the past, you will be asked if you want to allow task backdating. Click
OK if you do or Cancel
if you do not.
To complete
a task:
In the Complete column, check the appropriate
box to mark a task complete, or type a percentage of completion in the
appropriate box for tasks that are in-progress.
NOTE:
A percent complete, even
100%, will
not complete a task
If
this is an MPO, a dialog box appears. In
the Rcv Now
field, type the quantity you received, even if it is less than the quantity
specified. Click Receive Qtys.
Towards the lower
left of the page, click the Schedule
Change Reason field and choose the reason for making this change.
In the Schedule Change Explanation text box,
type a brief explanation for making this change.
Click the Update Job button either at the top
of the page, or at the bottom.
To skip a task:
Click the box in the
Skip column to skip a task.
Towards the lower left
of the page, click the Schedule Change
Reason field and choose the appropriate reason for making this
change.
In the Schedule
Change Explanation text box, type a brief explanation for making
this change.
Click the Update
Job button either at the top of the page, or at the bottom.
To reschedule
or ignore the reschedule notification:
Click the Reschedule
tab.
Find a task that has
a red flag next to it.

the task possibly needs to be rescheduled. |
To accept the reschedule
date, click the Reschedule checkbox.

This also sends an order
reschedule notification to the supplier. |
To ignore the reschedule
notification, click the Ignore checkbox.
Click the Update
Job button either at the top of the page, or at the bottom.
To recalculate
an end date:
Click the Job
Name field and select a different job.
Click the Stage
field and select a specific stage. The default is "All Stages.
Click the Status
field and select the appropriate status for the tasks you want to view.
Click the Task
Type field and choose the desired task type.
Click the Show
Tasks button.
Change the values in
the Start Date or Duration
fields of the tasks where this information needs to be changed.
Click the Preview
Re-Calc button to see the results of your changes.

page refreshes with a Schedule NOT Updated
message at the top of the page. |
If needed, repeat steps
6 and 7 as many times as necessary until you see schedule changes that
are suited to your needs.
Click the box in the
Lock This Date column next to
any date that needs to remain as shown on the schedule.
Click the Commit
button to update your schedule.
Other methods to reschedule a
task
You can also click the order number link and reschedule an order from
the Summary tab on the Order
Detail page.
