About Box Schedule

Box Schedule is one of two methods used in Phase Management (Task View is the other). In Box Schedule, users can manage multiple tasks from multiple jobs at the same time. Box Schedule lists job names across the top of the page, while Task View lists job and task names down the left of the page. In both these views, the Left Navigation Bar has been removed to provide more viewing space.

Box Schedule allows users to start or complete one task or multiple tasks simultaneously, as in Job Management Express (JME). The difference with Box Schedule is that it allows users to view and update these tasks from multiple jobs at the same time. For example, users may choose to start and complete 12 tasks from 5 different jobs at the same time. Additionally, by clicking on a task hyperlink, the task action pop-up displays providing a more efficient viewing method whereas JME displays a separate detail page.

Box Schedule has a Sticky Date feature that is not available in Task View.  The sticky date allows users to quickly change Start and End Dates with a single click. Box Schedule is more compact than Task View or JME–users may view more jobs at a time, but the page displays less detail information about each task.

You can perform these functions in Box Schedule:

Green Cell – Will be started or completed when you click Update Tasks

Red Cell – Task needs action because:

  • task is behind schedule

  • task needs to be rescheduled

Red Date – Completed task with exceptions

You can view more detail for each job by clicking on the “+” next to the lot number, which will show four columns (click the “-“ to hide the columns):
