Use the Job Management Express (JME) page to quickly update start dates, adjust task durations, mark tasks complete, skip tasks or submit POs for multiple tasks on one job. Multi-family jobs have their own version of JME. Click here to view information about the Multi-Family JME page. You can also see information about the effects of changing the schedule. There are three views available on the JME page: Schedule, Detail, and Re-Calc End Date.

A few things to remember on the JME page:

Schedule View

This view displays all tasks within all stages or a selected stage. In this view, you can start the task, complete the task, change the duration, adjust the start date, or reschedule a task. Just like on the new To Do List, a user can perform almost any task action on the JME page. The Reschedule functionality has moved from the Reschedule tab to the Schedule view. There is no Reschedule view on the new JME page. The Skip functionality has moved from the Detail tab to the Schedule view.

Start, Complete, and Reschedule Tasks

If the task is an MPO, the MPO pop-up window opens so you can enter the MPO Quantity. Click the Receive Qtys button. The task status changes to complete.

If the task is an NTE EPO, the NTE EPO pop-up window opens so you can enter the Actual Amount. Click the Update button. The task status changes to complete.

Detail View

There are no actions to perform on the Detail view. You can only view job information, such as task names, task IDs, task predecessors, rank, and sequence. You can also view the lead time, lead date, offset, start date, and end date. Click an underlined column name to sort the page by that column. The skip functionality has moved from the Detail tab to the Schedule view.

Re-Calc End Date View

On the Re-Calc End Date view, view possible "what if" scenarios if you change task start or end dates. This helps you decide what schedule changes to make if you need to speed up your schedule to change the job’s end date. On this view, you can change the start date and end date of tasks that are Scheduled or In Progress.

If you change theses fields and click the Preview Re-Calc button, you see another page with the results of your schedule changes. No changes are made to the actual schedule until you click the Commit button. The column called Lock This Date allows the user to hard-code that task to the specific date so that it will not move regardless of other changes in the schedule. Use the check box in this column to lock or un-lock all dates. If you unlock the dates of an In Progress task, the dates will be locked again once the Commit button is clicked.

To re-calculate an end date:

    1. One JME page, choose Re-Calc End Date from the JME View filter.

    2. Choose from the other available filters, and click the Show Tasks button.

    3. Click in the Start Date or End Date field of the task you want to change. The calendar pop-up window opens.

    4. Click on a date in the calendar to choose that date. Or, type the date in the field manually.

    5. Click the Lock Start Date check box next to each date you want to keep. When you change a date, this check box is automatically checked. To return to the original date, un-check this box and click the Preview Re-Calc button.

    6. Choose a Schedule Change Reason from the drop-down list.

    7. Click the Preview Re-Calc button to see the result of your changes.

    8. The JME page displays a message at the top of the page: "Schedule NOT Updated." This means you are viewing a preview of the changes. The changes will not affect your schedule until you click the Commit button.

    9. Repeat steps 3-7 until you see schedule changes that are suited to your needs. Scroll to the bottom of the schedule to see how these potential changes affect your job end date.

    10. Click the Commit  button to update your actual schedule with the changes.
