Multi-Family functionality in BuildPro allows you to set up a Project
and group jobs into Buildings and Floors. Multi-Family functionality also
has its own scheduling management page (Multi-Family
JME) which is tailored specifically for the needs of construction
managers of large apartment projects, town homes, or high rise buildings.
First, create a Project
by clicking the Add
Project link on the left nav of the Templates
tab.
Then, create templates as
necessary and add the templates to the Project
from the Multi-Family
Project Detail Page.
Templates may be linked by
using the Multi-Family
Schedule Management (Advanced View) page.
If you have many related tasks in the schedule, you
may want to create Task
Categories. These will be used on the Multi-Family
JME page to allow you to start or complete similar tasks across
jobs. For example, you could set up a Task Category for "Plumbing
Rough". Then use the Task Category filter on the Multi-Family JME
page to show only "Plumbing Rough" tasks across all jobs in
the building.
Add jobs manually using the
Add
a New Job page or via integration. If creating jobs via integration
confirm the Template Number
has been entered for each template you plan to use.
From the Job
Admin tab, click the Multi-Family
Projects link on the left nav. After searching for the correct
Project, click the numbered hyperlink in the Manage
Buildings column. From this page, add buildings as necessary.
After adding Buildings, click
the hyperlinked number in the Floors
column next to a Building. This link will take you to the Multi-Family
Floor Management page where you add floors.
After adding Floors, click
the hyperlinked number in the Jobs
column next to a Floor. This link will take you to the Multi-Family
Job Management page where you assign jobs to a Building/Floor.
Repeat steps 5 through
8 until all jobs are created and assigned to a Building and Floor.
To manage these jobs, click
the Multi-Family
JME Navigation button at the top of the page or click on the
Jobs tab, and click the link on
the left nav.
